Legally speaking - no, this is a licensing agreement, not a franchise. You'll establish your own company (many choose a single member LLC structure) and operate under a licensing agreement that allows you to use the Empower Accounting Professionals brand, systems, and materials. You own your business completely - there are no territorial restrictions, no revenue royalties, and you can leave with your clients anytime. You pay a flat monthly license regardless of how much you grow, giving you unlimited income potential without sharing a percentage of your revenue.
We're looking for accounting/finance professionals with 10+ years of experience who have a track record of delivering high caliber work. You should be entrepreneurial, naturally curious, and genuinely interested in helping small businesses succeed. CPA certification is not required, but strong technical accounting skills are essential.
The structured program runs roughly 8 weeks with key milestones, but this can be truncated or expanded based on your goals.

You can. The program is self-paced and designed to accommodate people transitioning from full-time employment. However, there are a number of factors to keep in mind should you choose this approach:
- Non-compete or conflict of interest clauses with your current employer
- Client acquisition depends HEAVILY on your ability to network, market yourself, and respond to prospects
- Realistic understanding of time commitment that will fall on nights/weekends
Your first-year investment ($1,000/mo) includes:

You're free to customize packages and pricing to match your skills and experience.
Pricing is a function of the value you provide, so you control your pricing completely. You will receive frameworks and guidance based on market research, but you determine what to charge based on your expertise, geography, industry, and services offered. Most licensees charge flat monthly retainers rather than hourly rates.
You'll build your practice primarily through network activation and strategic outreach using our proven systems. This entails reaching out to personal and professional contacts, attending networking events, leveraging social media, and consistently marketing your services.
Additionally, Empower provides corporate lead generation, introducing licensees to pre-qualified prospects who align with your offering. Our community also generates referrals - Empower professionals regularly pass along inquiries that fall outside their niche, service offering, or current capacity.
Ongoing support includes:
- Monthly community calls for personal and professional development
- Private Slack channels for real-time peer support and encouragement
- 1:1 coaching for strategic guidance
- Regular content updates, training materials, and software recommendations
- Best practice sharing and latest industry insights
- Networking events and mastermind opportunities
